Meet my Zen teacher

Hi, my dear.

Are you fighting the urge to move SLOW? Maybe you’re resisting the desire to crawl into bed at 7PM?

With the holidays, there can be a lot of social pressure on what you “should” be doing.

Well, it’s time for some snail wisdom.

Snails are in my opinion like Buddhist teachers. They remind us to be actually present. To focus on one thing at a time.

Can you honor the natural slowness that accompanies this time of year?

Allow the early darkness and colder weather to bring you peace.

You may be fighting the urge to move slow by keeping yourself busy with work, plans, and activities. But, remember that you can take a moment of stillness.

At any given moment you have the choice to slow down when things get too fast.

So take a moment now, and listen to your body. Take time to rest. Cozy up and read a book. That is definitely necessary.

And if you’re in need of a book rec for this slow time, get “Rest is resistance” by Tricia Hersey.

She will remind you that you’re not a machine, and how rest disrupts capitalism.

And if you need some extra support, get some slow integration coaching.

You know yourself better than anyone, so trust your body and honor its intuition.

Waaaarm hugs to you
