You're more powerful than you think!
When do you feel powerless?
Is it when you feel trapped in a relationship?
Is it when you experience oppression with law-enforcement?
Is it when you watch the news, and witness how thousands of Afghans are running for their life?
Is it when you try to change a pattern but it keeps on repeating itself?
No matter the situation, the feeling of having no power or control is excruciatingly painful.
Powerlessness often leads to helplessness, which only leads to more stuckness.
Let me tell you the good news:
You always have power! I call it your innate power.
Your innate power is your ability to be brave, kind, flexible, patient, vulnerable and any other strength you hold.
Think about incredible BIPOC leaders like Nelson Mandela and Aung San Suu Kyi. They were literally imprisoned and found their way to liberation through their innate power.
Whatever powerless experience you have experienced, I am here to remind you that you always have innate power.
Even in the most excruciating and horrific situations:
You have the power to believe in yourself
You have the power to be kind to yourself
You have the power to choose again
You have the power to think a different thought
These reminders have been helpful for me this week.
Hit respond and share what your innate power looks like.
