My little gift to you...
That warm sweater that makes you feel cared for. Your friend that calls you just when you really need it. That moment when your partner knows to grab something for you without you saying anything. The exchange of a smile with a stranger. That feeling of excitement when you get an idea while looking at a beautiful landscape.
We tend to forget the little things during the holiday season. It is a season of giving. Giving love, gifts, and time, but sometimes that is replaced with rush and distractions.
Distractions that make us forget what really matters. It fogs us from seeing the value in even the smallest of moments. Maybe even finding the value in ourselves. Our very presence can be a gift.
Gifts are often materialized and monetized, but sometimes the very best presents don’t have a price tag.
I think it is important to remind ourselves this time of year that there is value beyond the physical gifts. Find joy in the little moments. Recognize the worth that you hold. It’s easy to lose our sense of self-worth as we get wrapped up in the thoughts, feelings, and beliefs of others. We look to others for validation and to fuel our sense of self-worth.
Here is my tiny little gift for you.
A reminder that you aaaaaaaaare the gift.
Owning our worth is the greatest gift we can give to ourselves.
Let yourself feel into what you bring just by being who YOU are.
When we fully believe in ourselves, we become more radiant. When you are true to yourself, you will naturally attract the right people. People recognize your worth. People see that you are a gift.
As my dear mentor says, “May we all remember that the greatest gifts don’t appear in a package or under a tree.”
Happy holidays!
