No need to fit in. Try this instead.

I know you'll get this:

That moment when you try to put on those pants, and they just don’t FIT.

🙄

An arg-painful feeling.

Are you consumed with fitting in? Most likely yes, cause you naturally want meaningful connections.

You might be confusing belonging with fitting in.

Here is a nugget from Brené Brown: "Belonging is actually the opposite of fitting in. Fitting in means that we're changing ourselves to make other people like us.”

n’betweeners are experts at fitting in: conforming, molding, shapeshifting. You’re not being you.

You strive to belong, believing it’s fitting in, when in reality it’s a false sense of belonging.

I recently heard this quote:

“You don’t make a difference fitting in. You make a difference standing out.”

(read that again☝)

So I’m here to tell you something. You've got a greater purpose:

To belong to what most matters to you.

Here is the beauty: when you let yourself come closer to your congruent self you ironically begin to find a deeper sense of belonging. You’re not wasting time on people, activities, or things you “should do.”

I mean think about it for a moment:

Would you rather spend the rest of your life fitting in, or doing what matters to you most?

No brainer, right? Yet why do we not do it then?

Cause it requires this ONE ingredient:

The courage to believe in yourself 😮‍💨

Belonging happens when we have the courage to stand out and be ourselves.

Sounds simple right, and in reality it’s damn hard.

Well, let's try this instead.

Allow me to give you that little sweet nudge and support you in taking that risk and coming close to who you are.
