How to *finally* remove the masks that hold you back
You want to be seen - deeply seen - yet most likely, you're hiding behind masks.
Every morning, we put on a new disguise, a new mask, a new way to hide our precious, beautiful self.
Masking is having to hide a part of ourselves in order to (falsely) belong š«£
In a world where weāre constantly encouraged to share and broadcast our lives, the irony is that many of us still struggle with the profound fear of being truly seen.
Why? Cause not only are we scared, but ill-equipped to be vulnerable in community.
As nābetweeners, we learn from a young age to mask parts of ourselves. We learn to make our complex, marginalized parts wrong and develop thousands of protective mechanisms.
So when do you get to shed these masks?
Allowing ourselves to be seen means opening up to the possibility of judgment, criticism, and misunderstanding. It requires us to confront the parts of ourselves that we might not fully accept or love yet. This vulnerability can be terrifying, especially for those of us who live at the intersection of multiple complex identities.
I know the fear of being misunderstood or rejected for who we truly can be absolutely terrifying, especially as an n'betweener.
It requires deep safety to allow ourselves to be seen ā¤ļø
It requires an intentional container. A place where we *know* in our hearts that weāre going to be fully held, even when things are difficult, scary, and unknown.
That is exactly why I created The nest. To have a safe space to shed these masks and let you be held in a like-minded kinship community.
You may be thinking, āDo I even deserve this? Why me? Iām fine.ā
Yes, you do. Stop making yourself small. Stop minimizing yourself. Investing in your well-being is the most beautiful gift you can give to yourself. Not only do you deserve it, but you deeply crave it.
This program is intentionally 6 months to build real safety and community.
