Brownies + my 14-year-old sister = Me becoming a therapist 😮

It might not seem urgent, but it is.

It’s very simple.

I’m doing something important, close to my heart. Something I deeply believe in.

I am writing an educational memoir on being an n’betweener. I need to get this book off my chest. To bring language to the experience of being n’betweeners, to help us elevate. But I cannot do it alone.

So I need your help to write this book.

So I ask you - will you contribute?

I almost DIDN'T do this crowdfunding. But then I remembered that I did one 10 years ago. (Am I cute or what?)

“How BRAVE,” I thought.

I raised enough money to get me through my first semester of graduate school, to become a psychotherapist.

But you know WHO actually inspired me?

My younger sister. Salma 💗

She was about 14 years old. At the time, I was obviously her super-cool older sister (that faded some ha).

She saw that I had a dream. A heartfelt dream to become a therapist. Salma believed in me. She witnessed how much I was struggling to get money to pay for this education.

So what did this brilliant creative being do?

She baked CAKES (brownies specifically), which she then sold! (she is hands down the best baker, even if she tells you otherwise).

Yes, her and her best friend started knocking door to door selling brownies in the neighborhood, telling our neighbors that she wanted to support her sister to study psychology at some university somewhere in the middle of the US.

What a tremendous gift this was. To have my younger sister believe in me.

Having people believe in us ignites confidence and makes a world of difference.

So I thought if my sister can raise money among our neighbors, I sure can do the same.

She inspired me then, and inspires me today.

So now I’m channeling my Salma-energy and asking you to help me to write this book so I can reach one million n’betweeners.

I believe in you. That’s why I am writing this book. I want you to be believed in, just like Salma did for me.

Let's create a movement with this book 👉 Give your support here.

It's time for us to see ourselves fully, to let go of the ways we keep ourselves small and hold ourselves back.

Tak Suma. Thank you sis.

Hugs to you

🖤
