It's HERE! My TEDx

This year we have been called to find that hidden strength within ourselves.

2020 asks us to find our innate power.

When I auditioned to be a speaker for TEDxCU almost a year ago, I could have never imagined what a journey it would be. I didn’t realize the mental, physical, and emotional process I was about to take on.

Just as I was beginning to memorize my speech, COVID hit and TEDxCU was cancelled. A few months later I was notified that the event would be happening virtually. So I was back to square one.

It was this moment when I connected back to the subject of my talk: Reclaiming Our Power.

The vital process of reconnecting to our inherent worth, especially as marginalized beings.

Learn how to make yourself seen and reclaim your power.

We often fantasize our reality. Whether it be materialistic, a relationship, or some kind of goal, we imagine it with ease. We believe that these things are effortless to obtain.

When things are handed to us, we cling to the idea that the process is easy. We idealize that it is simple to obtain that item, pursue that relationship, or reach that goal.

We undermine the difficulty of the process to get there: the action required to finalize that project, the attention and effort needed to fulfill that relationship.

Finalizing my TEDx talk was a heavy process. It required a lot of surrendering.

Surrendering to the many aspects that I could not change. Surrendering to the feelings of erasure, exhaustion and pain.

It’s not been easy.

It was not smooth.

But I did it. I took part in the messy and challenging process and I am so glad to share it with you today.

When we truly surrender, life presents us with surprises.

I believe in you .

Make space for your full process.
