You're trying too hard
I'm dedicating this email to something very important to me:
Your humanness
You and I are imperfect human beings. My goodness. It’s truly a humbling process to witness that we’re always learning and growing...
Sadly, sometimes we put lots of pressure on ourselves and don’t let ourselves LIVE.
Instead we try to do everything “right”.
We live in a culture of over-carefulness - “Sooooorry”, “Oh I didn’t mean that”, “You ok?”
Maybe you are..
Trying to say the “perfect” thing when you witness a sexist/racist encounter.
Hide your pain and smile to not make someone uncomfortable.
Spiral and overthink about what you said at the work meeting.
It’s exhausting always trying to get it right… (cause you can’t!)
I’m sorry-not-sorry to tell you that you’ll always offend someone.
Even after reading that book, going to therapy, attending that retreat or training.
So what if you didn't make yourself wrong for every little thing you did or didn’t do? What if you didn’t take yourself so seriously?
As you try to avoid hurting others, you often end up hurting yourself with all this “carefulness”.
Want to live with more freedom and joy?
Your messy human self is invited to join my messy human self this coming Monday. It's gonna be powerful, and I promise it will feel freeing.
I’ve created a fun free Masterclass for you where we’ll explore the ways you hold yourself back.
Join me here on Monday, February 6th at 5pm MT.
Cannot make it live? Don’t worry you’ll have access to a recording after.
Hope to see you there.
Hug hug,
Nora
