I’m giving free therapy to Palestinians ❤️🩹👇
Caught n’between?
I get it. I live n’between worlds and navigate complexity within my identities every day. I hold nuanced and intricate perspectives. It’s a gift, but a complicated one at times. I know you get it in your own way.
As the world watches the horrors unfold, I feel my n’betweeness deeply.
I’m culturally Muslim and of Arab descent. I know what it’s like to have your Brown skin weaponized.
What’s happening in Gaza is a direct result of years of settler colonialism, dehumanization, and oppression. It’s a rewrite of history. The White colonizers influence their power to take what’s not theirs from People of Color — the rightful owners.
There is deep suffering among ALL people. I know Jewish people are hurting, terrified, (re)traumatized, and completely hopeless.
That said, it is not a *fair* fight. Israel is a wealthy country with one of the strongest militaries in the world. They’ve cut Palestinians off from food, water, and electricity while simultaneously destroying their hospitals, homes, and food sources.
The equity gap is astounding. Palestine does not have the basic resources it needs to keep its people alive.
This is a human rights issue.
My heart deeply aches for Palestinians around the world during this painful time, and amid my ache, I know there’s blood on my hands.
I’m also of European descent and recently became a U.S. citizen. My taxes fund an Israeli government that allows the genocide of Palestinians.
I sit deeply with my n’betweeness at this time — I want a free Palestine, but I’m part of the problem whether I want it or not.
I condemn the Israeli government and demand that the United States be held accountable for its role in perpetuating Israel’s violence, but my dollars support their heinous acts.
I live n’between worlds. I’m the colonized and the colonizer.
I understand that as part of my privilege, I must do what I can during this time:
I’m offering 5 free therapy sessions to Palestinians in Colorado in need ❤️🩹
👉 You can sign up for a session using my Calendly link or by visiting my website.
Due to regulations, unfortunately, I can only offer psychotherapy to clients residing in Colorado. If you reside in another U.S. state or a different country, feel free to book a consultation, and we can look into other options.
This is a first come first support opportunity. I’m limited in the number of people I can serve, so there will be a waitlist.
Please share with your friends and your network so that they’re aware of this resource.
