For the harsh self-critic looking for self-love

When I asked n’betweeners how they felt about investing in themselves when joining n'between they often felt ONE of two things:

GUILT or FEAR.

Guilty that they weren’t already doing enough: “I should be doing...”

Fear of feeling into the depth of their pain. “Can I really do this?”

I’m sure you’re familiar with the sensation. That you are undeserving of love, care, and attention.

Investing in yourself is the greatest act of self-love.

Saying YES to yourself is liberating. Listening and believing in yourself is powerful.

But instead, you hide. You don’t take that risk. You minimize your gifts. You unwillingly self-sabotage. Your mind plays these tricks with you, and you’re not alone.

Self-sabotage is part of the n’betweener experience, but I have some good news…you can get through it! Self-sabotage is inevitable. It’s not realistic to think you can escape it completely, but there are ways to manage and move through it.

It takes practice to believe in ourselves, but it happens in the scary moments. We prove what we are capable of.

Every time we take a risk, we claim our worth, and bring in more self-compassion.

Next time you notice yourself spiraling and talking yourself out of your potential, come back to this email and get the reminder you need.

Self-love happens in the little moments. Acknowledge and appreciate every little thing you are doing for yourself.

Sending a big huuuuug,

Nora
