Chasing fantasy?

Take a look at your life.

Where are you succeeding right now?

Whatever “success” means and looks like for you.

Did you finalize an exciting project? Maybe you spent quality time with your family on a vacation?

Now second question, maybe a little harder.

Where are you struggling? Where are you “failing?” What's just not working right now?

Noooo, I’m not saying this to make you feel bad 🙃!

I am saying this to normalize whatever is happening in your life right now.

Cause let’s make something clear once and for all:

When you succeed in one area of your life, you're inevitably “failing” in another area of your life.

When you submit that big paper, you inevitably are not showing up in your relationships.

When you support your kid through a difficult time, you inevitably miss that deadline at work.

When you launch that program, you inevitably are not going to the gym and working out.

There is a myth that we can do it all. That we will reach a point of “TA DAAAAAAA” (I mean can you hear the heaven bells in the background?).

We fool ourselves into believing in a fantasyland.

You know you're in the fantasy when you start sentences with: “Oh, when I get that [fill-in-the-blank], I’ll be ok.”

That we just have to fiiiiiiiiind that key, and then it will “all be great.”

The truth is you will always have a million different responsibilities. You will succeed in some and fail in others.

So what is important is to ask yourself:

Am I living my life in a congruent way?

Am I fulfilled with what I do in my life?

Look for the ways where you are succeeding and feeling in connection with yourself.

Take notes of those areas in your life. Those are worth gold.

Are you feeling STUCK on how to live with more congruence? Send me a note and I’ll share some supportive questions with you.

Much love and grace to you,

💗
