Falling Apart?
We can agree that 2020 will forever be an unforgettable year, and continues to be.
A lot of falling apart as we look in every direction. The many losses, one being of the Notorious Ruth Bader Ginsburg. The Earth, in continuous distress with hurricanes, storms and wildfires. All while we continue living amid spiking numbers of COVID.
So I saw this tree the other day. At first glance, I felt sadness as I looked at it.
My spouse Ray then said it looked like a Santa hat. I laughed.
Here in Colorado, we had one night of snow about two weeks ago. Sunday it was 32C/90F and Monday morning it was 0C/32F. Although Colorado tends to have shifting weather, this experience was quite different. Shocking I would say. Today, when I walk on the street, I don’t see colorful leaves, I see large branches of trees, taking over the sidewalks.
So I looked at the tree again, and I felt its resilience. Surviving the snowstorm.
Yes, it’s falling, but it has not crashed. It’s hanging in there. Just like you and I.
Watch today’s video to learn about the ways we trip, and how we inevitably fall. What we can do, when things do not go the way we expected.
It’s tender to fall. Remember you are not alone in the hurt. When you let yourself feel it, you create real healing.
Keep hanging in there! Just like that gorgeous tree!
Much care,
Nora
